Using Windows Vista Ultimate when I connect my Panasonic camera using the
firewire cable nothing happens. Ive tried switching the camera on in vcr mode
(and every other mode for that matter) but nothing. Looking via Google this
seems to be a very common problem with Vista and many video cameras but I
havent seen any answers that resolve the issues.

I think mostly the answer is don't use the Firewire connection as Vista
doesn't fully support Firewire 1394. Could you use USB instead?
