  1. Does anyone have some sample app code that uses parport.sys that they can
share. Any code will do VB, V , Delphi, etc.

What are you actually hoping to do? You don't generally talk to
parport.sys directly. It just happens to be one of the drivers in the
stack when you talk to a device on a parallel port. For example, when you
do a CreateFile for "LPT1:", you are talking to parport.sys.

  3. Tim,
Thanks for responding. I'm past the Createfile part. That's common for all
sys drivers. What I'm hoping to find is code that shows how to use
DeviveIOControl calls to get port info, configure the port, register
callbacks and eventually input and output data to the port. I may be dense
but I'm finding the MS docs confusing. I'm trying to replace an NT style
driver that I wrote with the MS supplied driver because mine does not handle
PNP ports directly and I don't want to spend the time to update it to WDM
standards. Although I'm beginning to think the later may be faster.
