I persistently get the following perflib errors. I have searched the
knowledge base but can't find any articles related to SBS 2003 - they are all
for 4.5 or 2000. I'd like to understand how to solve this problem, and still
use the performance monitoring functions, so any advice is most gratefully
received. (I have great hopes as my last two problems have been most
    successfully resolved through the TechNet!)

Here are the event log messages.

I am getting nearly the same thing, but it reads:

The Open Procedure for service "ASP.NET" in DLL
    "C:\WINNT\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_perf.dll" failed.
Performance data for this service will not be available. Status code
    returned is data DWORD 0.

I have found numerous articles, but none have helped resolved the issue.

It appears to have started right after installing KB931768 and KB935966

It is logging a Event 1008 with the above message nearly every second.

I don't get the problem as often as you seem to, but I do get it about 10
times per day. I've tried deleting the monitoring configuration and then
re-configuring from the start but the problem persists.

I've also found articles that elate to Win2000 and SBS 4.5 but nothing
    reported for SBS 2003.

I don't particularly want to disable performance monitoring by editing the
registry, but that seems to be the last hotfix I read (for Win2000). I'm
looking at the problem currently and, if I manage to track down the reason
behind it I'll post back here.

    Regards, Marcus
