Hi - Vista build 5384 - How do I permanently disable the hiberfil.sys file?
I don't need to use the hibernate function. Right now the hiberfil.sys is
taking up 1 GB of hard drive space.

    Thanks

    Hello,

    To turn off hibernation:

    - Click Start
    - Type: cmd
    - Right-click cmd when it appears under programs
    - Click run as administrator
    - If prompted, click Continue
    - Type: powercfg -h off
    - Press enter
