Personal Edition SQL Servers, can there be multiple on a computer?

This may be a simple question but for the Microsoft SQL Personal Edition
Servers, can you have multiple installs on a single computer?

What I am asking is: WSUS installs one for it's services, Veritas installs
one for it's services, I have other software that would like to use this
also. Each install has a unique name and different folder but I am not sure
that once you install a new one the old one still works.

    Any thoughts?

Do I need to install a full or different version of SQL Server? Hopefully
    not.

    Thank You

You can have one default instance and multiple named instances. This link
    may help.
