Photo Mail: Using Live Photo Gallery as default

When I choose New->Photo e-mail, a blank message opens along with a standard
file selector diaglog (pointing to my Photos folder). Rather than use
Windows Explorer to select photos, I'd really like to use Windows Live Photo
Gallery beta. This, so I can select/search photos via tags.

I have WLPGb set as the default app for photos but I am unable to find a
setting in WLMD to use WLPGb as the default.

    Is it hard-coded somewhere?

Is there a registry setting I can edit?

I think you're suggesting the same thing I did last month. I would like to
select a group of photos in WLPG and "send as photo mail." Is this what
you're suggesting? I would also like to see this in the normal Windows
    Explorer right-click menu.

No, that's not what I'm suggesting. I believe that one can already
(multiple) select photo(s) in WLPG and click the E-mail button then, after
choosing the size of the photos, have them embed into an outgoing Photo Mail
message. I can do that here, anyway.

Also, I can select photos in Windows Explorer and choose Send to->Mail
Recipient in the context menu to accomplish the same thing. Windows Live
Mail Desktop opens a new Photo Mail message with the photos embedded.

What I want, if I'm composing a 'new' e-mail message, is have the e-mail
client (Windows Live Mail Desktop or any other e-mail client) to be able to
use Windows Live Photo Gallery as a substitute for Windows Explorer to select
photos to send. That way I could search/select the photos to send by tags.

When I choose New->Photo Mail from the file menu in WLMD, a new blank
message opens followed by a standard Windows file selector dialog. What I
want is for that file dialog to be replaced by Windows Live Photo Gallery.

I'm aware that I can add a Tags sort filter to the Windows Explorer dialog
and select via tags that way but it doesn't seem as intuitive as WLPG.
