Why is it progress to remove features used by so many? In IE 6 i was able to
move the home, back, forward, refresh, etc.. buttons to any location I
wanted. In IE 7 and now IE8 this is no longer. In IE 8 i also now have a
"Live Search" box that i dont need or want and i can change it to a search
provider of my choice but i cant get rid of it to save space on my scree.

The upper portion of IE is now taking up more valuable screen real estate
than ever and there is nothing i can do about it (except use firefox). Please
consider changing the browser so that i can customize the look and usability
by placing the buttons where i want not where you have decided they would
best work for me. Please also alow me to easily remove the "Live Search" box.

  2. Hello,

That was one reason why I developed the Quero add-on (www.quero.at) for IE.
Quero replaces the fixed address bar, search box and find on page dialog and
can share its space with the menu, links and other 3rd-party toolbars.

    Best regards,
