Please help! Installation of WMPv9 CRASHED my PC!

Please help! I was installing WMPv9 because I was trying
to download a CD from Buymusic.com, which told me v9 was
required, so I was upgrading. Installation progress got
about 70%, then suddenly my PC rebooted and it seems to be
stuck in a reboot "loop." I'll get as far as the screen
that tells me there was a problem and I can choos
to "start Windows normally" or revert to my "last known
good" config. Neither works, my PC just keeps rebooting
over and over. Not sure what to do, but of course I have
files on my HD that I haven't backed up and I NEED! I
didn't expect this from an MS file!!
