I can not figure out what is going on. I can not print any webpage or even
get a print preview with IE7. I know there is some kind of fix for this, but
I have banged my head on the computer for the last time before coming here. I
can print from ANY ther application - ie: wordpad, notepad, and even print a
test page, but I cannot print a webpage.

I believe this may be related to an additional problem I am having with IE7
    - and that is I can not view some webpages (for example, Earthlinks webmail
    page).

  3. Check with the printer manufacturer for new drivers.

  4. can't even get a print preview with IE7.

Check to see if the webpage has finished loading (check status bar). If not,
print preview probably won't display anything (blank page). I couldn't tell
from your post, but try clicking the stop button, then go to print preview.

    See if that helps

AWA - have you solved this problem? i'm trying to help my grandfather with
this very issue. i thought it may be a security setting, but then figured
that the security is in VIEWING the webpage, not printing it, so it wouldn't
be that. he can view page setup, but print preview and print under the file
tab, and his printer icon on the command bar go nowhere.

  6. Always disclose your OS when you need help.

E.g. if this is XP you could try uninstalling IE7 and reinstalling it (as a repair).

All versions of IE7 seem to have RIES (ref. KB923737) but I'm still not clear
if it is as complete a repair (e.g. in terms of reinitialization of key modules)
as a reinstall would be. Also note that unless you do something to save
AutoComplete data beforehand (e.g. using NirSoft's PSPV tool)
that information such as passwords, etc will be lost which might otherwise
be preserved by an uninstall. I don't know if Vista upgrade users would
benefit from an uninstall in the same way or not.

In any case, since the module involved seems to be ieframe.dll
and since it at least has a DllInstall routine which still works you could try:

    regsvr32 /n /i ieframe.dll

Also, to be clear of your symptoms please tell us what happens if you
    open this

    res://ieframe.dll/preview.dlg

and then do a File, Print Preview with it. If that works, there is nothing
wrong with the software in the general case and you are looking for help
    with an (unstated) specific example.
