Your uncle probably is already painfully aware that you are a fool.

Since this is Usenet, your message is now all over the Internet, so
    everyone else knows too.

It's not a registry issue, so replacing it with a backup would be pointless.
The error message very cleary indicates that the target file is corrupt or
has been replaced by a non-compliant version. A process in the startup axis
is trying to load a routine in that file that cannot be found. Either the
process is bad, or the target file is, neither has anything to do with the
registry. Generally, replacing system files is done from the command line
    boot.

    See if doing a '*_System_Restore_*
    (http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/76905-system-restore-how.html) a
boot using a restore point dated before this problem may be able to fi
this for you. This will restore the registry back to the date of th
    restore point

    ..
Hitting your Caps Lock key to turn off the ALL CAPITAL
LETTERS often gets more people to read your messages
    and respond to them.

I have my doubts that anything written to run under the
Windows 7 version of Windows is likely run properly
under earlier versions of Windows, such as Vista.

Sounds like you need to have your uncle make a full
set of backup disks for the Vista you have now, and at
least try to teach you how to restore from such a backup.

Did you originally have XP installed on your computer?

It sounds like you may have started a factory recovery from the
recovery partition, and if you had XP originally, then that is what it
    is trying restoring to.
