Pop-up blocker keeps allowing pop-ups

    My pop blocker keeps allowing pop ups. The following conditions apply:

    High blocker set
    no allowed sites

    scans with spybot s&d yield no spyware
    scans with ms spyware yield no spyware
    scans with sbc antispyware yield no spyware

    yet the small icon at bottom of ie6 still comes on indicating pop-ups
    allowed. Search kb with no results.

    You post using WinXP SP2. Is this the machine with the problem?

    When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
    (http://aumha.net/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
