  1. Hello all,

Microsoft is looking for additional beta testers for the Windows Media
Center (2004/2005) upgrade experience to Windows Vista. Additionally, we
are accepting applications to test Windows Media Center Extender for Xbox
    360.

Applications are now being accepted for both beta programs at
    https://mscuillume.smdisp.net/Collector/Survey.ashx?Name=MCE_beta_recruit01.
Eligible applicants will be selected based on data collected from the
application survey and will be contacted within two to three weeks.

    Media Center Testing Requirements:

.. You must have your own PC currently running Windows XP, Windows XP Media
Center Edition 2004, or Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005.
.. This PC must meet the minimum requirements for Vista located at
    http://www.microsoft.com/technet/windowsvista/evaluate/hardware/vistarpc.mspx
.. Ability to test and provide feedback on the upgrade experience from
    Windows Vista
.. Testers must be over the age of 18

Additional Requirements for testing Media Center Extender for Xbox 360:
.. You must own an Xbox 360
.. You must have the ability to connect your Xbox 360 to the internet
    .. Reside in the US

The beta testing process is very important because it helps ensure that we
release the best possible product. If you are selected to participate in
the beta program, you will be asked to install the product and report your
testing experience to Microsoft. Reporting will include installation
surveys, bug reports, and other means as requested by Microsoft.
