There have been a few questions regarding Power Options under Vista, and I
just stumbled on the answers to my questions, and I think some other
    peoples.
    1) Q: Is there any way to change the function of the Pretty Power Button on
    the Start Menu?
Is there any way to control CPU power Mode? i.e. My AMD CPU is always
    pegged/throttled?
Is there any way to setup laptop lid functions?

A: Yes, If you go to Control Panel-Power Options- Change Plan Settings( a
text link below each of the options)-The Click text link 'Change advanced
    power Settings"
You will get all kinds of options.

    Enjoy!
I am fired up, that pretty button is now Hibernate..woohooo
