On a new Server 2003 system Power Users Group is needed for the Quickbooks
Enterprise application. When I did the "Member of" thing there is no Power
Users Group but there is a Power Users Group template. How do I setup a
Power Users Group? With the template?

  2. Power Users is only available on Member Servers and Workstations. On a
Domain Controller, there is no Power Users group. If this is a DC, this is
why you cannot see this group. If this is a member server, the group is
there. I'm not sure what you mean by a group template. Care to elaborate?

Thanks Paul, that explains the missing Power Users Group, it is a DC. If I
promote the user to Power User on the PC will that give Power User rights on
    the server?

The template is listed as an option when I go to the "Member of" tab for the
users server proporties. I do a "Check Name" for Power and the Power Users
Group template is the only match. I even selected it but I removed it when I
saw that it was a template.

  4. If I promote the user to Power User on the PC will that give Power User
No. Power Users is a local group. Therefore it is local to the computer in
question. It doesn't extend beyond that system.
