Print jobs not removed from queue after printing - status is 'prin

Discussion in 'Clustering' started by Robert Sandham, Jan 5, 2005.

  1. This may or may not be a cluster-related issue, but here goes:

I have a Windows 2000 Cluster with a number of shared printers.
Some of the printer queues work perfectly, but a couple of others have a
problem where a print job is not removed from the queue when it is printed.
The job status shows 'printed'. The only way to remove them is to delete
them manually. There is a Microsoft Knowledge Base article that describes a
similar problem - caused by changing the 'creator owner' permissions, but
    that doesn't apply here.

    Has anyone seen anything similar?

    Thanks

  2. Ahhh, found it! Disabling bi-directional support fixes the problem (at least
    for these HP LaserJets)
