I am using vista home basic, and I am using a dos program which onl
uses lpt ports for printing. I have a hp deskjet 3820 printer which ha
both a parallel and usb port but my computer only has usb ports. I hav
shared the printer and used the net use command to map the lpt1 port t
the shared printer name and it says that the command complete
successfully. However, if I type dir>lpt1, the printer responds an
tries to print but it does not print. Also, if I try to print fro
within the program, I receive an error saying the printer is no
    coonected properly

    Can anyone help
