Problem at the begin of intallation

    Hi, i have this problem...when the installation begins, immediatly after the
    copy of the installation files, the monitor begins to flashing with strange
    coulors...and the installation is freezed...this appens with a new
    installation but also in upgrade of xp...what can i do?

    some system specs would help (pretty broad question) what version of O/S

    i have an asus m2v-mx, sempron 3200, 1gb of ram... hd eide and formatted...

    I see you have VIA Chipset windows does not place nice with Via!!!

    down load and install Bios update for your system.

    Read direction's Print them so you can have them at hand. this bios for
    your system was released march 21 2007 for all windows O/S this will more
    then likely solve your problems

    Then do a search and locate Via drivers updates for vista
    We had the same issues with via since windows 98
    Video would go nuts, harddrives would not respond. systems would crash, o/s
    would not install

    Most times it was IRQ setting Via would not share or move and Video will not
    share it's IRQ most cards like IRQ 10 or 11 AGP/PCI
