    Tyring to create a distribution group with as it's e-mail
    address. The address was previously assigned to one user.
    I've deleted that e-mail address from the user's profile, but when I try to
    create the service distribution group, I get the message that "The Add Group
    Wizard could not create the group."

    The add_distribution_group_wizard.log file tells me: "Wizard Execution:
    Entering the Group Committer... Group [CN=Service] already exists."
    However, as noted, I've already deleted Service from the single user's
    profile and have rebooted the server. I can find no "service" in AD. How do
    I delete this CN=Service so that I can add the distribution group?

    Thanks,

    John

  2. Hi John,

    Thanks for using the newsgroup.

    Issue description:
    ==========

    I understand that when you want to create a DL group, you encountered some
    problem.

    Analyzing and suggestions:
    ===========
    Generally speaking, "Service" is a built-in hidden group like
    "Authenticated users" or "Everyone" and is treated as special since OS
    controls the membership of this group. This is the reason why you cannot
    create it. The following KB articles might help in this:

    I appreciate your understanding on this issue, please feel free to let me
    know. If you have any further concerns.
