    Hi,

I run the wizard for routing and remote access. I lost the ports pptp for my
vpn connection. When i try to create a port, i have this message:
"The port information cannot be saved." (Error: 800703EB)
I run also the wizard for connect to internet and the network connection
    failed!!
If i try to run the wizard for remote access, it fails also. with the error
    in the rraslog.txt :

    Hi Seba,

Thank you for posting in SBS newsgroup.

I understand that you failed to run the Remote Access Wizard, and the error
code in the RRAS log is 800703eb.

Based on the error info and my research, I found many such issues were
caused by corrupted/incompatible modem or modem drivers.

First of all, please make sure that your network device is compatible with
Windows Server 2003. For Windows Server 2003 HCL, please check
    http://www.microsoft.com/hcl.

Also how many modems have being attached to the SBS 2K3 Server? It seems
that the modems information in the OS is corrupted. In general, we can
resolve the issue by uninstalling and reinstalling modems. To do that,
    please follow the steps below:

    1. Unattach all modems from the SBS server.
    2. Open Device Manager | Modem, delete all modems.
    3. Open Control Panel, double click Phone and Modem Optins, click Modems
tab, delete all modems, and then click OK.
    4. Reboot the machine.
    5. Attach all modems to the SBS server.
    6. Open Control Panel, double click Phone and Modem Optins, click Modems
tab, and then click Add button to add modems one by one.
    7. Reconfigure RRAS settings to see if the problem is resolved.

If the problem still persists, I would like to gather some information from
    you for research.

    1. Did this issue happen before? Did you install any software recently,
like Windows 2003 Server SP1? If so, please uninstall it as we have seen
similar RRAS issues caused by Windows Server 2003 SP1.

    2. Also, please check whether you have installed SQL logging options which
is an additional service for SQL server, if so, please remove it.

In the RRAS MMC, if the SQL server was listed and configured to accept
logging from RRAS. Please disabled the SQL server logging options and see
whether the problem is solved or not.

    3. If all my suggestions do not work, please run "eventvwr", see whether
there is any relate issue, and paste to me.

    4. please send the ICW log which is located in c:\Program Files\Microsoft
Windows Small Business Server\Support to me at .

    More Information:

241257 Device Manager Does Not Display Devices Not Currently Present in
    Windows
    http://support.microsoft.com/?id=241257

I hope the above information helps. If you have any other questions or
concerns, please feel free to let me know.

Thanks for your time. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.

    Best regards,

    Crina Li (MSFT)
