We have just acquired the trail version for Virtual PC in
order to evaluate its functionality for our company, but
as soon as we start the Virtual PC aplication in a Windows
XP, we get a warning window with a message telling
that "VirtualPC cannot open the vm network services
controler" and also stating that network access and
external hosts access will not be available to any VM
using the virtual network. It also says that in order to
fix this, we have to put available the network-services
controller again in at least one Ethernet adapter or to
    reinstal Virtual PC.

We are using a pci token-ring adapter.
Is there a way to get this fixed with token ring adapter?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide
    Mauricio.

No. The Virtual Machine Network Services only works with
    Ethernet.

I was successful in using Shared Networking (NAT) through
a Token Ring adapter, but that has limitations on
    connectivity.
