Problem with vista media player

    I live in Saskatchewan Canada
    I downloaded a required codec the dolby ac3 2000 codec and when it was installed it has made all my movies sound tinny or like they are in an echo or reverb chamber.
    Could you please help me to figure out how to fix or remove it?
