Promote to Domain Controller

    Can you DC promo a 2003 server to make a domain
    controller?

    Is this just Windows 2000 Server

    You can as long as the operating system is something
    other than 2003 Web edition. >DCPROMO... Warning, make
    sure that if you're running existing 2000 DCs that you
    run adprep /forestprep and adprep /domainprep on the
    appropriate DCs. Most important, If you're running NT DCs
    or 2000, I strongly suggest you get professional
    assistance before proceeding. There is so much you need
    to consider before you leap forward. If this is a test,
    new domain, in a new forest? Knock yourself out!

    Yes, you can make a Windows Server 2003 a Domain Controller, as long as the
    edition you use allow it.
