    Hi,

    I have an web application which use asp.net memberhsip framework to
    authenticate users. WHen it is configured to use sql server membership
    provider, it works fine. But when I configured it to use active directory
    membership provider, which uses a non-administrative domain account for
    "connectionUsername", I got error "Property 'userAccountControl' not found",
    if I change the account to administrator account, it's ok. I traced the code
    and error happened at membershipprovider.GetUser(userName,false) function.
    My question is what kind of domain account can be used for
    "connectionUsername" if I only want to retrieve user information from AD, not
    changing.
    Here is my provider setting sample for AD:
    <add name="MyADProvider"
    type="System.Web.Security.ActiveDirectoryMembershipProvider, System.Web,
    Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a"
    connectionStringName="MyADConn" connectionUsername="MyDOMAIN\MyAccount"
    connectionPassword="MyPassword" enableSearchMethods="true"
    connectionProtection="None" attributeMapUsername="sAMAccountName"/>

    Thanks.
