Public folders showing up in GAL?

Discussion in 'Active Directory' started by Phil Buzzette, Mar 19, 2008.

  1. I know this question doesn't directly relate to AD, but I think that the
solution may involve AD. If I am wrong to assume this, I apologize. I am in a
situation where the public folder that we have setup for external contacts is
viewable in the GAL. Now, this isn't a huge issue, but I am curious how it
got there, and how (if needed), that it be removed. I would appreciate any
input or ideas. Thanks a lot!

  2. This is an Exchange question - in the future, try
    microsoft.public.exchange.admin. But for now, eh....
If it's a mail-enabled public folder, this is normal. If you don't want it
to be mail-enabled (and it doesn't sound like you do, if it's used for
    contacts) then mail-disable it.

For future reference : remember, it's always important to mention your
version & SP level of Exchange when you post in the Exchange groups.

    post next time.
