I have tried to find the answer to this question but no luck, maybe it's
because i'm asking to wrong question.

What i'm trying to do is use the Notes: field of a security group in 2003 AD
i want to populate certain information in that field to enable my 1st line
support to more efficiently assign permissions but more importantly i want to
run scripts and report the values stored in the fields. I've checked the
property and classes but can't seem to find anything to help me.

I did see some article on another website stating that although you can't
explicitly access all property fields in AD you can use ways around it.

Can anyone advise me of how i can do this or any suggestions?

  2. The field labeled "Notes" in ADUC corresponds to the "info" attribute. Is
that what you want? Try assigning a value to the info attribute. This
applies to user and group objects.
