Question for MSN Hackers: why can't I see some offline buddies display names?

If you have just added the affected contacts, then that's
the reason why you can't see their nickname... I've found
out that in order for a nickname to be 'recorded', both
users have to be online at the same time... after
the 'mutual contact' (if you want to call it that), you
should see their nickname correctly, even if they're
offline. However, if some of the nicknames affected are
those of people you have spoken with in the past, then
    that's beyond my expertise...

I hope that this was helpful...

If someone is online, and goes off line, try to sign out MSN, and quit the
program. Restart it. You see for this person also the email address?

I guess, when someone goes off line you continu to see the nick, but as
soon as you stop the program, and restart, it's gone?
