I have a Quick Launch shortcut to my Windows Media Player
    (Version 6.4.9.1125)

Recently, I have been clicking on the shortcut, the player
starts, and I select a station my from the drop-down box.

One favorite station in particular has the URL:

    http://www.energydanceradio.com/euro/media2.asx

To save a few steps, I want to start this station playing
directly from clicking on the Quick Launch shortcut, by
    entering:

    "C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\mplayer2.exe /play
    http://www.energydanceradio.com/euro/media2.asx"

as the target if the shortcut.

But all I get is the error:

    The name 'C:\Program Files\Windows Media
    Player\mplayer2.exe /play
    http://www.energydanceradio.com/euro/media2.asx' in the
Target box is not valid. Make sure the path and filename
    are correct.

Any advice on how I can get this working?

    Thanks in advance, Simon.

The spaces in path should be throwing off the shell. Try putting the
location of WMP in quotes, which should help the shell parser understand
    things. :)
