Installed IE7 RC1 a couple of days ago and needed to access the Services
Administrative Tool today and found that the Extended Tab does not display
anything now, same happens with the Group Policy tool

The Norton SystemWorks 2005 main Launcher also does not display information

the CWShredder program also has display issues

Reverting to IE6 fixes all these problems, but the Norton SystemWorks
problem and the problem with the Extended Tab in the Serivces and Group
Policy consoles didn't happen on IE7 Beta 3

CWShredder has had issues will all the Betas on the systems i've tried IE7

Just done a clean install of Windows XP Pro SP2 into Virtual PC and got it
fully patched up, including WMP10, MMC 3 and .NET 1.1 and 2.0 and couldn't
replicate the CWShredder problem and Serivces problem, haven't tried Norton

The odd thing is that I never had any problems with Norton or the Services
admin tool when using Beta 3.

Found out by chance that by clicking on "Restore advanced settings" in
    Internet Options/Advanced the display returns
in NAV 2005 and Extended Tab in Services.

    Don't know what's causing this.

    Does anyone have a clue?

Did not have this problem in IE7 up to and including Beta 3.

I will have to try your suggestion when I have the chance, also IE7 RC1
causes none of the problems I reported on my Laptop so there must be a rogue
setting or IE add-on on my Desktop PC I will have to find.

Recalling now, I did have the display problem with CW shredder with the IE7
Beta versions. That is to say only the top and bottom lines would not appear.

But I surely never had this display problem with NAV 2005 and the Extended
Tab for Windows Services until I installed RC1.

I think I have found the cause of my problems, Norton, CWShredder and the
Services and Group Policy Extended Tabs appear to be not compatible with the
Always show encoded addresses option in the International Section of the
options in the Advanced Tab of the IE7 Internet Options.

Switching it on reproduces my original problem on my Laptop and switching it
    off again fixes it.

I will check this on my Desktop PC when I get the chance.

Great, I am glad we both have the display now.
Looks like it is security enhancement.
    But is this a bug?
I would love to hear the opinion of someone from Microsoft.
