On my old PC (XP SP2 fully-patched), I was using MS Analog
Recorder to cut all of my ancient LPs to CD. The software of
course won't run under Vista (surprise, surprise!).

Can any of you recommend a decent replacement that's either cheap
    or free? (Audacity?)

    Many Thanks,

I've just started using Audacity on Vista and it seems to work fine.

It doesn't seem as nice as CoolEdit 2000 I used to use, but apparently that
program doesn't run well on Vista.

    Good luck!
