    Hi all,

I'm trying to broadcast a file that is also being recorded into an asf file.
The main problem concerns the asf file access. No streaming is possible until
the recording ended. Is there a way to get aroung that limitation?

    Any help greatly appreciated!

  2. Well if I might say, that just doesn't sound right. You just said
you're broadcasting it. Is this from the encoder or a media server ?
And then you are recording to .asf : Again, is this in the encoder ?

The encoder will happily encode (broadcast) the stream and save it to
a file archive which you can later re-broadcast from the media server,
or host on a web server. There's no problem at all in doing this.

    Cheers - Neil

Thanks for your response. I do not use the encoder, just the media server.
The application I'm working on is a websharing application which can also
record what is being shared. Right now, the streaming is only possible when
the recording is stopped and saved as an asf file. I'd like to know if it is
possible to have the recording stored into an asf file and also at the same
time streamed to users. Maybe the solution would be to have 2 publishing
point, one set up as 'on-demand' and another one setup as 'broadcast'. Would
    this be feasible?
    Thanks!
