Instead of synchronize, do you mean that WLMail gave you the option to
    import mail from OE?
What do you mean by method?
In what program did you lose the folder?
Are you using OE and WLMail?
OEQB will backup OE files, so there must be OE files on your computer.

    Ron,
    That would be true...
We also know that if the op followed Bruce's OE specific instructions..it is unlikely that this was found( with or without a
typing entry error) in OE's Store folder
" I see though a folder MalMSMessagesstore file"

The op should have enough information to find the either store, determine if the missing folder is not present then recover using a
3rd party utility for either OE or WLM.

If there's something Bruce or I missed that would benefit the op at this stage feel free to add it

Hopefully the op will clarify or add some more info...

    Hi,
Maybe I'm using the wrong language here. OE was always my mail handler in
    receiving mail from Caribsurf.
WLM gave me the option of having all my mail in one place. I have Windows
Live Mail desktop beta installed on my computer, so when I installed Windows
Live Mail, all of my existing accounts, settings, and e-mail messages were
automatically imported into Windows Live Mail.'
While I was deleting junkmail in OE, I accidentally clicked on 'permanently
delete a subfolder with some of my email and pictures. So it is that folder I
am trying to see if i can recover.

    Thanks

Then we can forget that you even have WLM installed for this discussion? If
it is an OE folder and you do not have a dbx or bak file, then your only
    hope is DBXpress.

    DBXpress:

You may need to run it in the Extract From Disk Mode if its normal recovery
mode fails to find the lost messages.

  5. What makes you think you can use a utility designed for one mail program
    on a different mail program?
