Recover specific emails from tape

    Hi,

    A user shift-deleted a couple of emails.
    Is it possible to recover them from tape individually?

    SBS2003 / NTBackup

    Sort of.
    However, first see whether you can recover them from the dumpster -

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/178630/ (yes, this applies to your versions
    as well)

    If you can't get the items back this way, you can restore the mailbox store
    to the Recovery Storage Group, get the mailbox exported to PST, open the PST
    in Outlook, and then copy the items you wish back into the mailbox.
