I spent most of yesterday and part of today installing redhat linux and it
still isn't done. Do I need to allow VPC complete system resources in order
to do this quickly? I had installed SuSe linux at home and it only took
    about an hour or so.

My Red Hat 9 install took 2 hours to complete whilst allowing the
virtual machine all my system resources - Athlon 1.4 768MB.

You should ceryainly allow an installation to have all available
    resources.

  3. Put Virtual PC in the foreground with focus to let it use all system CPU.
If you don't, the actions will take more than 10-times as long.
