Does anyone know if RedHat Linux is supported as a guest OS in VPC?
If your operating system of choice has drivers of the emulated hardware\ that the Virtual PC 2004 system presents then it may be possible to install and run that OS. We (Microsoft) do not provide Support for those operating systems outside of those we Support on Virtual PC 2004. There is probably a good chance that your OS of choice may install on a Virtual PC. It is ultimately just like installing to any other PC - as long as your OS supports the hardware you should be good to go. -- Regards, Mike -- Mike Brannigan [Microsoft] This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights Please note I cannot respond to e-mailed questions, please use these newsgroups
Red Hat will not support it either - virtual machines (VMWare too) aren't on the hardware compatibility list.
