Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Hub Driver Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver Problem

Discussion in 'Windows 64 Bit' started by Harold A Climer, Aug 24, 2013.

  1. I used driverquery command to find out what drivers are installed on
    my computer.
My computer is a Systemax Venture Si P67A-C43 1.0
    System Serial Number: 107438898
    Chassis Serial Number: snc302eeh
    Enclosure Type: Desktop
Processor a Main Circuit Board b
    3.10 gigahertz Intel Core i5-2400
    No memory cache
    64-bit ready
    Multi-core (4 total)
    Not hyper-threaded
    Board: P67A-C43 (MS-7673) 1.0
    BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. V1.28B6
    08/31/2011
When I try to upgrade the following drivers for the following:
Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Hub Driver
Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver
I get an error message saying that there is already a newer version of
the driver installed on my computer and the upgrade will not install.
Also using driverquery, the following files seem to be already
    installed on my computer.
    nusb3hub
    nusb3xhc

but their state is manual and they are listed as stopped.
They are not listed on the Device Manager under USB controllers.
Is there any way to get these files to be installed properly and to
    run properly.
My computer has 2 USB 3.0 ports on the back of the computer.

Any help would be most appreciated.

    Hi, Harold.

This might not help you solve your problem, but here are a couple of data
points from my computer. Mine is home-built, upgraded earlier this year to
an MSI 990FXA-GD80 motherboard, and running 64-bot Windows 8 w/Media Center.
The mobo has 2 USB 3.0 ports on the backplane, plus a header for 2 more USB
3 ports, along with several USB 2.0 ports.

Device Manager shows, in addition to the dozen or so other lines about USB:
    Generic USB Hub
Renesas USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller - 0006 (Microsoft)
Renesas USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller - 0006 (Microsoft)

Yes, the two Renesas lines are identical and the word "Microsoft" is in
parentheses. That generic hub line may be for the 4-port USB hub that I
    have plugged in.

When I click Properties | Driver for each Renesas entry, it says
    Driver Provider: Microsoft
    Driver Date: 5/31/2013
    Driver Version: 6.2.9200.16628

The Events tab for each shows 2/16/2013, Device configured (usbxhci.inf

Plenty of other details are available in Device Manager, of course, but I'm
not sure just what you might need.

By the way, when I Binged for "Systemax Venture Si P67A-C43", I found one on
eBay that had already been sold - and not much else. And a search for
"Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver" got "no results".
