    Hi,

I have a branch server that is R2 with DFS setup. Clients map to the unc
and dfs points it to the branch server. In event of branch server down
clients will be re-directed to the secondary server back at corporate.

Fairly straight forward but I would like to retire the branch server.

I'd also like to use the same old name.

I'm concerned about the best approach to bring up the new server with
current data and have replication back in place like it was before.

I run with real time all the time replication.

So I believe I need to re-create everything and robo copy again.

Seems like a pain, has anyone done this before?

Is it easier to just bring up another server with a different name then go
    from there?

    Thanks guys.

I heard it's really easy to replace a server without clients knowing but I
    don't know the exact procedure.

I'm fearful that if clients run off of the secondary site because I've
disabled the primary site that when I bring up the new server I'll have to
    re-create the primary.

And of course the primary does not have any data in it!!!
