Rich Text Editor won't load in IE7 RC1 with Vista RC1

    I edit lots of web pages using dynamic platforms with rich text editors - a
    partner of mine has IE7 on an XP computer with all settings the same and is
    having no problem, but with IE7 and Vista RC1, I get the buttons to load, but
    not the editing area (just a red x) -- I have turned off firewall and all
    proxies, I have added the sites as trusted sites, I have enabled all Active X
    and script controls, I have checked same in my anit-virus software (PC
    Cillin), turned off phishing filter and pop-up blocker -- everything I could
    think of to no avail. Out of ideas. anyone have any other suggestions
