Right Click and opening new tabs disabled on opening many IE7 tabs

Discussion in 'Internet Explorer' started by Livingston Samuel, Oct 9, 2007.

  1. I'm using Internet Explorer 7.0.5730, Windows XP Pro SP2 Build 2600

When I open about 15 to 20 tabs in IE 7, the right click gets disabled and
I'm not able to open any more tabs or open any other window. Usually Windows
Xp allows us to open about 30 to 40 windows at a time, but IE7 restricts
this. even sometimes it becomes even worse and it creates this problem when
less than 10 tabs are open.

Previously in the same system I've worked with around 40 IE6 Windows opened
at the same time. My system is capable of handling the load.

I'm sure that no other program is causing this problem, the problem liews
    with IE7.
The only option left is to close all the tabs and start afresh or restart IE7.

Make sure that this bug is removed.

I have IE 7 on XP. I just opened 30 tabs on the New York Times web site
and guess what? Right-click works on every one of them.

  3. The problem does not lie with IE.
What if you right click the IE icon on the desktop and choose Start Without
    Add-ons?
Or go to Start | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Internet
    Explorer (No Add-ons).
