    Hello everyone,
I have a Windows Server 2003 which reboots every day at about 9 am. The
    error log is:
The Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service terminated unexpectedly. It has
done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 60000
    milliseconds: Reboot the machine.
I installed SP1 and all of the updates but I don`t know yet if the problem
is solved. Does anyone have any ideas???

    Thanks in advance

Since you installed the service pack has the server been rebooting itself?

By default, the server should not reboot itself in the event of a service
failure. Check the recovery settings for the RPC service to make sure it's
not configured to reboot after a failure unless you want it to?

Are there any jobs that run around 9am that could be causing this service to
fail and subsequently reboot? What is the history of the rebooting? Has it
always rebooted? Has it recently started? If it has recently started what has
changed on that server? Check your scheduled jobs and make sure there are no
malicious jos there and perform a virus scan on the server.

    Robin.
