saving codecs: anyone knows how?

    Hello
    Does anyone knows how to save codecs that are automatically downloaded from
    microsoft site when media player when it plays a file.
    i think a file goes into windows\downloaded program files.
    but anyone knows how to export these codecs to other computer.

    It doesn't work like that. :) The codecs downloaded are executed through a
    special mode of Internet Explorer, and do not contain self-installation
    information - they are dependent upon that codec download mode for
    installation.

    If you wanted redistributable versions of the codecs, you would want to
    figure out what codecs you want and find a redist for 'em.
