Ok, So I have been unable to find this specific question elsewhere.

I have an old SBS 2003 server that was being used as a DC, it died. I have the files but can not get into said mdf. This was our "companyweb" site and as it ended up a few files got stuck in it. Well I need them. I have tried quite a few other programs out there and even their tech was unable to point me in the right direction so here I am.

    What I have:
    The folder (mssql$sharepoint\data) with a STS_companyname_1.mdf file
the folder with a STS log.LDF file

    What I have tried:
renaming the file to ISO and exploring the file, I get a manifest.xml file.
DocAve Manager v5 for 2007+10 sharepoint, only restores to another sharepoint site, not what I want to do.
Microsoft KB89112- backup and restore sharepoint files in windows server 2003.

Any help you can give is greatly appreciated unless it is "nope can't be done"
