    Hi,

I'm running w2k3 SE and i've noticed that one of my scheduled tasks is
    reporting a result code 0x3.

I just ran the task manually and all appeared normal.

I've searched google and the microsoft knowledge base I can't find any
    reference to 0x3.

Can anyone shed any light on this please?

    TIA

    Neil

PS - its a robocopy backup routine between 2 folders that are on the same
    drive.

I just tried the task again with a /k switch on cmd.exe so i can see the
    result of the robocopy command.

All was well, but this time, it returned a different exit code (c000013a)???

    Regards,

    Neil

  3. The exit code is usually generated by the last used
command in the scheduled task, in this case by
robocopy.exe. You can easily confirm this by
adding some extra lines to your scheduled batch file:

    c:\tools\robocopy.exe .. .. ..
    echo Errorlevel of robocopy=%ErrorLevel%
    echo Username=%UserName%
    pause

Your task is now to find out why robocopy fails. Perhaps
%UserName% has insufficient access rights to the resource
that you're trying to access with robocopy.
