Is there any way to have Windows or Media Center notify me whenever Media
Center finds the the movie will be airing on TV? I need to know so I can
program my SAT receiver to turn on to the correct channel. Thanks, dw

  2. You can do this using some advanced Search techniques. Use Actor/Director search and search for one of the lead actor's names. Then scroll through the movies they've done until you find the one you want. If its in the Guide, it will show it, or if its not, it will tell you that, too. If its not in the Guide, there will be a Record in the Future option. MCE will watch for this movie to show up in the Guide and will automatically schedule it to record.

Thanks for the response. Yes, I know how to do this. What I'm asking is, can
MCE notifiy me when the movie shows up in the Guide, but before it records,
so I can make sure my STB is on for that time?
