Scrap this interface and go back to the visual settings of IE6. With the exception of tabbed browsing, I hate the look and functionality. It's about 30% slower loading pages also. Scrap it and go back to the drawing board. I'm reverting back (hopefully). ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. I found IE7 a bit slower until I disabled the Phishing filter completely. Now, I can't tell any difference. Just my experience...
I had the same experience as "Thiggy." Disabling the Phishing filter did improve the speed noticeably. Another suggestion: If you are browsing a lot of pages or sites, stop occasionally, and delete your temporary internet files --- near the upper right corner of your screen, click on "Tools" > "Internet Options" > "Browsing History" > "Delete" > "Temporary Internet Files" > "Delete Files" > "Yes." This has no effect on cookies, some of which you may wish to keep. It simply removes unnecessarily stored pages, freeing up memory, and improving speed.
