Well I have posted this before hopefully someone will answer this from MS. I
have dual display running now I think I already know the answer. I want a
screen saver to run on my secondary display while using media center IN FULL
SCREEN on my tv. I have done everything and read everything basically it
sounds like this can't be done. Why ? Why won't windows come up with a
patch so that you can have a screen saver on a monitor of your kids picture
and let the tv do the rest esentially. This was a program developed for
media you just can't see digital media on 2 seperate displays. Now the one
reason I bought this from Dell is they said I could do it.....Well we all
know about Dell techs. Is there a patch something coming or something I can
do instead of send the thing back.

    Thanks

The problem here is that a screen saver runs when there is no activity
(mouse/keyboard). Windows does see both of your monitors, however most
likely you have it setup to expand your desktop over both screens.

There isn't a way(that I am aware of) to have Windows automatically run your
screensaver on one screen while you work on another. That just isn't the
    nature of a screen saver.

What you could do is run a slide show program(there are some free ones) on
the monitor you wanted the screensaver, and continue to work on the other
    screen.

    Just a thought.

I am fine with that. However, I have tried that many times I would like to
run a powerpoint presentation on the one screen as a screen saver" but this
is not possible either that I am aware of because when win med center is full
screen on the big screen it shuts down that monitor or application running on
the other screen. I don't think its possible

OK Brad. Thanks for the input. When I get back to work on Monday, I'll hook
up one of our MCE boxes and see if there are any settings I can tweak to
atempt to find a solution for you.
