How does one use Microsoft Script Editor (Debugger) with IE7 when running
    Vista?

I tried downloading the Script Editor from Microsoft and installing it (by
running the install file as administrator), but after it was install, IE7
hangs just after start-up, requiring using the Task Manager to kill it.
(There is later an alert where MDM.exe asks for permission to run.)

I uninstalled the Script Editor to recover IE7 functionality.

I've got debugging enabled -- when there is a script error, a pop-up asks
"Do you want to debug?" but Yes does nothing. Also, View->Debugger does
    nothing.

    Any ideas?
