I have been using IE7 for about an hour now and so far it looks pretty good.
However, already I feel an important option is missing.

I would like to be able to hit the search button and have the results
automatically open in a new tab window. I know you can create a new tab first
but I would prefer if this was automatic.

I would like to see this as an option for which you could set the behavior.
(open in same tab, open in new tab, open in new window)

  3. Try a search?

The last time this suggestion was made Shift+Enter was proposed
as a keyboard shortcut for doing it and Prashant Singh [MSFT]
explained that Alt+Enter in fact does exactly that.

Alt+Enter is not ideal. Pressing Alt causes the menu to jump around and the
screen redraw is very slow (on my machine anyway)!!!

Ah, thank you, that made sense and I should have tried it out first. I'm
still getting used to associating the Alt key with opening things in a tab.
