Second hard drive isn't correctly recognized

I added a second hard drive with 80GB as my slave to a 20GB drive. This is
recognized correctly when the computer boots and in the BIOS. However, when
I look at the drive in FDISK, its capacity is only 10GB. Furthermore, FDISK
doesn't assign it a drive letter. I created a partition on that drive to see
if that would end up displaying the correct size, but it remained at 10GB. It
also labeled that drive as C: instead of creating a new letter for it. I was
expecting FDISK to assign it D: and move the CD/ROM to E:

    What should I do?

You should repost to xp.hardware as this group is for Media Center
    discussion.
