Suggest that you update your anti-virus program & run that.
Also download and run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (use the free one)

The problem may be elsewhere, and not on your local computer. I
say that, because the messages could be coming from any one of
    the following sources:

    a. Malware on your own computer
    b. From a webmail account in your name. (If someone has
    hacked into your account)
    c. From a different computer (using contact details, harvested
from your computer, from a remote server or from another source)

Perpetrators of this sort of scam use the following methods to
    harvest contact details

    a. Malware on your own computer
    b. By hacking into a webmail account in your name
    c. From an email that you sent to all of your contacts (if one
of the recipients is using an insecure computer)

In addition to Dave's excellent advice, please post back with the
name of your mail service provider. Have you configured WLMail
to access your account on an IMAP mail server (available with
Gmail and many other mail server providers) or your Hotmail, Live
or MSN mail account on an HTTP server? If so, can you see the
messages in your WLMail sent folder?

If someone has hijacked your webmail account on the remote server
and you are using WLMail to access messages via an IMAP or HTTP
server, then you will see the messages in the 'Sent' folder, next
time WLMail synchronises with your account on the remote server.

If any of these possibilities applies, then I suggest you change
your password for the mail account (on the remote server and
subsequently in WLMail). Also, change your secret questions in
your on-line profile for the webmail account.
