After immediately sending a email message, I do not get any immediate
notification that my message has been sent

I can only check by going to the "sent messages"for confirmation.
Is this the norm or am I missing something

    Thanks

There should be some kind of notification in the error case. For
confirmation for yourself I'd try unplugging the network just before
sending, at which point the send should fail, and you should be notified.

    Cheers,

    Thanks aListair
I did get an error notification when I disconnected from the internet
    but none when connected.
Apparently ther is no immediate notification that your mail was sent,
only by varifying from "sent mail" can one check
    Thanks again
    cheers
